ICAA Texas Hosts Elisabet Ney Artisans Ball Oct. 18 in Austin
The Mansion in Austin, Texas
Experience the heritage of Texas artisans and craftsmen at the Elisabet Ney Artisans Ball on October 18, 2025, held at the historic Mansion in Austin, Texas.
The event aims to honor Texas artisans and craftsmen and celebrate the success of the New Heights program by the Institute of Classical Art & Architecture (ICAA), an educational initiative that introduces middle and high school students to classical architecture and art. The program is now in its tenth year, and functions at the Alamo Heights High School in Texas among other schools across the country.
The celebration on Oct. 18 will include dinner, a silent auction, dancing, and a curated showcase highlighting talented artisans and craftsmen. Proceeds from the event will support the Texas chapter’s education programming and bring New Heights to other schools in major Texas cities.
This year marks the second ever Elizabet Ney ball in Austin, in celebration of the artisans that make classical projects in Texas so special. The ball is expected to draw folks from all over the state.
The event is named after Elizabet Ney, a German-American sculptor who lived and worked in Austin in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, creating sculptures of prominent leaders. The Elizabet Ney museum in Austin is currently closed for renovations, but will be available for a private tour by attendees of the Oct. 18 ball.
The event will be held at the Mansion in Austin, formerly known as the Texas Federation of Women's Clubs Headquarters. Join ICAA Texas for a night of inspiration, creativity, and celebration of Texas artisans and craftsmen while supporting the advancement of arts education and classical architecture in the state.
