Specification Chemicals, Inc. is an Iowa corporation started in 1975. They manufacture basement waterproofing and roofing products, wall restoration products, and are converters of polyester-reinforcing fabrics for the roofing industry. Trade names include WHITE PLASTIC, NU-WAL, POL-E-BASE, POL-E-FORCE, and POL-E-SCRIM. Nu-Wal is a wall restoration product for old cracked plaster walls or ceilings. Nu-Wal covers and reinforces the entire surface with a fine-textured fiberglass embedded in an elastomeric adhesive. Cracks in interior or exterior surfaces do not come back as they do with patching compounds. Recycled Rubber Roofing is a liquid emulsion with an acrylic binder, used as the principal component of a new or retrofit, built-up roofing system. One of the ingredients of the product is crumb rubber from recycled truck and auto tires. Recycled Rubber Roofing is available in natural black or light gray. Also available is a white reflective coating that is applied to the rubber as an optional finish coat. The products contain no asphalt. Basement Waterproofing is an acrylic based, high solid, waterproofing emulsion formulated for use on concrete products, both interior and exterior.
