R. Stephan Toman is a master woodsculptor, carver and artisan furniture-maker creating unique hand-carved architectural appointments, furnishings, and decorative woodworks in the European and American carving and woodworking traditions. In 1999 Sonrise Woodcarving Studio forged a cooperative alliance with Nicholas D. Brown III, master furniture maker and the Principal of Living Tree Woodworking (d/b/a). Through the concatenation of skills created through this cooperation we are now able to offer, beyond the many products mentioned above, premium quality moldings and millwork (to your custom requirements or from our 108-page catalog of profiles and products, in large or small runs, on time to your deadlines), accurate reproduction of historically important millwork (by machine processes or using traditional hand-tooling), spectacular cabinetry and interiors, museum-quality furniture (contemporary or reproduction), hand-crafted doors and windows (historically accurate, single pane, double pane, thermo-pane, etc.), fine veneering and expert finishing, faux-painting, trompe l'oeil, murals, and gilding.
